The STRIKE performance was an earthquake in a nutshell - the floor was vibrating and I thought that the lights would flicker due to the large soundwaves going off from the drums. I was right in the front so I got the most volume.
I was involved in one of the acts where we had 1 stick and we had to tap at a certain type of drum (or device you hit.) and we had to be in rhythm with it and the audience made me and the others go faster.
One performance shocked us all, a FIRE SONG! They had these spray bottles with chemicals and they sprayed the fire in a “song” like way. I was whispering to the person next to me “I think their gonna set off a fire alarm!”
The STRIKE Percussion group made my day with that loud, warm and delightful performance.
