Knowledge 101: Complicated Maths!

Starting at the end of Term 1, two maths groups tried to solve the volume of 3d shapes that aren't cubes or cuboids. I was in one of those groups and I got the volume of a Triangular Prism and I got the volume of a Triangular Pyramid. Here is my working out. WARNING: Complicating maths inbound!

My totally amazing working out. Left side is Triangular Prism and the right side is the Triangular Pyramid.
The hardest shape was the Triangular Pyramid, however It got stuck in my brain after a few attempts of solving it, I even showed my assistant teacher how to solve a triangular pyramid. #NotShowingOff.

  1. You have done exceptionally well with your measurement learning and the challenge factor of finding a 3d shape other than a cube or cuboid to learn more about calculating the volume of. You executed your learn it, practice it and prove it concept really well. Be proud and think about the remainder of the year and other mathematical challenges you want to be involved with because you are more than capable! Miss O'B
